ACL DIVISION 2

Rock were away to Moy in the ACL Division 2 on Sunday and gained two valuable league points in our fight to remain in Intermediate football. The first half saw Moy get most of the breaks as they moved into a 0-6 to 0-0 lead and we only got our first score from an Aidy McGarritty free virtually on the stroke of half time as Moy went in at the break leading 0-6 to 0-1. Rock came out a different team in the second half and points from Aidy McGarrity(2), Paudie Ward, Eamon Ward, Stephen Mullan, Tommy Bloomer and Shea Litter saw Rock run out fully deserving winners on a final scoreline of Moy 0-6 Rock 0-8. Moy failed to score at all in the second half. Every player deserves great credit for what was a fully committed second half performance. Three more performances like this in our remaining three games would go a long way to help maintain our Intermediate status. Our next outing is away to Eskra on Sunday 30th July, reserves @ 2.15pm & seniors @ 3.45pm. Remaining games then are away to Moortown and at home to Castlederg.
