ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Our Annual General Meeting was held in the clubrooms on Sunday week last. Following detailed reports from Chairman Anthony Mullan, Secretary Barry Ruddy and Treasurer Stephen Carroll and discussion on motions, Seamus Donaghy and Noel Kerr give an update from The Club Development committee. Martin Hackett & Noel Kerr then took the chair for the election of officers and committee for 2018 which resulted as follows: Honourary Presidents: Fr.John Flanagan, Francie McNally, Peter McLernon, Sally Hoy, John Gourley, Felix McGuire, Frank O'Neill, Jim McCreesh, Sean Ruddy, Eugene Mullan. Chairman: Anthony Mullan; Vice Chairman: Brian Lagan; Secretary: Barry Ruddy; Asst. Sec. Paula McGurk; Treasurer: Stephen Carroll; Asst. Treas. Mickey Mc Aleer; P.R.O. Seamus Carroll; County Comm. Rep: Colm Mackle; Health & Wellbeing Officer: Oonagh Mackle; Development Officer: Seamus Donaghy; Cultural Officer: Eamon McGarrity; Childrens Officer: Adrian Nugent; Committee: Niall Mullan, Barry Tally, Cathal Cush, Sean Mallon, John McGurk, Reamonn Gourley, Oliver McVeigh, Aislinn Carroll. The post of Youth/Coaching Officer remains to be filled. Many thanks to Ciaran Gourley and Brenda Bradley who have stood down from the committee for their work througout the year and we welcome Paula McGurk in as Asst. Sec. The AGM concluded with prayers for deceased members of the club.

SENIOR TEAM MANAGEMENT

Our senior team management for 2018 will be Ciaran Gourley, Conor McKeown, Reamonn Gourley and Kieran Mullan. We wish Ciaran, the players and the rest of his management team the best of luck for the incoming season.

LAST MAN STANDING

We are running a 'Last Man Standing' fundraiser to run alongside this years NFL Division 1 games. Forms are available from players and committee members. All entries must be made by Friday 26th January. Entry fee is just £10 and the winning prize is £300.

WELL DONE

Well done to Niamh Lagan on being selected on the Tyrone ladies U14 squad.

SCOR SINSEAR

Scór Sinsear (17+) begins February 2018.

Categories include Solo Singing, Ballad Group, Instumental Music, Quiz, Recitation, Historical Presentation and Set Dancing.

Workshop Title: Club Coaching and Games Development Planning Workshop

Date: Wednesday 31st January 2018; Venue: Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghey; Time: 7:30pm This workshop is targeted at Club coaching officers and key coaching personnel within the Club.

Workshop Title: Concussion Awareness Workshop

Date: 5th February 2018; Venue: Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghey; Time: 7.30pm Concussion Workshop is targeted at players, parents and coaches.

All coach education courses will commence at 9:30am on the Saturday, Friday evening sessions will commence at 7pm (this only applies to the award one youth/adult courses and Award 2 Course). All child protection workshops will commence at 7:30pm. Course Fees: Award One Course - £55; Foundation Award Course - £25 (this includes child protection fee); Child Protection Workshop - £10

Coaches who attend the foundation coaching award course must also complete the child protection workshop, failure to do so will result in them not being certified as a foundation award coach. Best of luck to Moy Tir na nOg on Sunday in the All Ireland Intermediate Club semi final v An Ghaeltacht(Kerry) in Portlaoise and good luck also to Tyrone in the Dr. McKenna Cup final.

SYMPATHY

It was with great sadness that the committee & members of An Charraig Naomh Pádraig learned of the sad passing of Christopher Colhoun from our neighbouring club Pomeroy Plunketts and we wish to express our deepest sympathy to the Colhoun and McAliskey families and the entire Pomeroy club. May he Rest in Peace. The committee and members of An Charraig Naomh Padraig also wish to express our deepest sympathy to the Cush family on the sad passing of Barry and we offer our sincere condolences to his partner and children and the entire family circle and also Donaghmore St Patricks on the loss of a true Gael. May he Rest in Peace.
