ACL DIVISION 3
Beragh 0-7 Rock 1-12
Rock were away to Beragh in the ACL Division 3 on Sunday last. Played in very blustery conditions with a swirling wind Beragh opened the scoring with a point. Rock followed up with points from Ciaran Gourley and a superb effort from Diarmaid Carroll. Following Beraghs second point a good Rock move ended with Ciaran Gourley drilling a low shot to the Beragh net. Two more Beragh points were followed by scores from Cathal McWilliams and Conor McCreesh(3) to see Rock go in at half time leading 1-6 to Beraghs 0-4. Early second half points from Aidan Girvan and McCreesh again stretched Rocks lead before Beragh opened their second half account. Then followed a period of Rock dominance with points from Diarmaid Carroll and Conor McCreesh(2). Two Beragh points were split by an effort from Ciaran Gourley as Rock ran out convincing winners on a final scoreline of Beragh 0-7 Rock 1-12. Rock had sound displays from Aidan Girvan in defence and Ciaran Gourley in attack. The reserves won also on a final scoreline of Beragh 2-3 Rock 1-12 with Rock having led 0-5 to 0-3 at half time. Rock scorers: Francie Bloomer(0-11), Enda Mallon(1-0), Rurai McVeigh(0-1).
Rock are due to be at home to Clogher in the ACL Division 3 on Saturday 19th April. Reserves at 3.30pm and seniors at 5pm.
MINORS
The minors were defeated away to Killeeshil on Tuesday last. Killeeshil started well and led 1-4 to 0-1 after 15 minutes. Another Killeeshil goal before half time left them ahead 2-10 to 0-6 at the break and they continued to dominate in the second half scoring four more goals. Rock responded with a goal from Shea Litter and further points from Martin Corrigan and Padraig Ward. Best for Rock on the night were Shea Litter and Cormac O'Neill. Rock scorers: Martin Corrigan(0-5), Padraig Ward(0-4), Shea Litter(1-0), Ronan McKernan(0-1), Sean Moran(0-1). Next game is due to be away to Brackaville on Wed. 16th April at 6.45pm and then at home to Tattyreagh on Wed. 23rd April at 7pm.
U14'S
The U14's took part in the Tyrone Feile at Moy on Saturday last and have now qualified for the semi finals following wins against Ardboe, Coalisland, Moy and Eglish. Well done to all the boys and team mamagement and good luck in the next round. Next league game is due to be on Mon. 21st April at home to Eglish at 6.45pm and then away to Pomeroy on Sat. 26th April at 1pm.
U8'S/U10'S
The U10's took part in a blitz at Brocagh on Saturday last winning all four games against Stewartstown, Brocagh, Edendork and Derrytresk. Next U10 blitz is due to be on Saturday 26th April. U8 blitz due to take place this Saturday 19th April. Details at U10 and U8 training on Thursdays from 6-7pm.
CP TRAINING
Child Protection course will be delivered by Adrian Nugent on Monday 14th April at 7pm. All committee members and youth coaches must attend.
