ACL DIVISION 3
Rock were away to Tattyreagh on Sunday last in the ACL Division 3 and came away with both points following another strong team performance. Having led at half time 0-13 to 0-3, Rock went on to win the game on a final scoreline of Tattyreagh 1-9 Rock 1-17. Rock scorers: Conor MCreesh(0-10), Eamonn Ward(1-1), Diarmaid Carroll(0-2), Aidan McGarrity(0-2), Tommy Bloomer(0-1), Martin McCreesh(0-1).

The reserves suffered their first defeat of the season going down on a scoreline of Tattyreagh 2-8 Rock 2-4. The Rock goals both coming from Enda Mallon. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Ollie McElduff who went off injured during the reserve game.

JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

Rock will play Owen Roes in the semi final of the Junior Championship in Loughmacrory on Sunday 31st August at 3pm.

RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP

Rock will play Clann na nGael in the semi final of the Reserve Championship in Greencastle on Friday 29th August at 7pm.

U16'S

The U16's lost away to Clonoe on Monday last on a final scoreline of Clonoe 4-11 Rock 4-10. They are away to Gael Naomh Padraig on Monday 25th August at 7pm, at home to Tattyreagh on Sat. 30th August at 12pm, away to Stewartstown on Wed. 3rd Sept at 7pm and at home to Clonoe on Sat. 6th Sept at 12pm. Rock will play Owen Roes at home in the preliminary round of the U16 Championship on Sat. 13th Sept.

U13'S

The U13's are away to Donaghmore in their opening fixture in Grade 2 on Thursday 28th Aug. at 6.45pm and at home to Ardboe on Friday 5th Sept. at 6.45pm. Training continues on Tues. 6-7pm.

U12'S

The U12's will play in Loughmacrory tournament on Sat. 6th Sept. and Magherafelt tournament on Sat. 13th Sept. Training for all U12's on Monday 1st Sept. at 6pm.

U10'S/U8'S

Our U8's took part in a blitz at Loughmacrory on Saturday last playing three games against Loughmacrory, Cookstown and Greencastle. Well done to all the boys who performed very well winning one, drawing one and losing one out of their three games. Thanks to Loughmacrory for their hospitality. The U8 squad was: Desmond Gourley, Padraig Mullan, Ryan McElduff, Owen Bloomer, Sean Girvan, Alfie Kerr, Odhrán Carroll, Caoimhin Daly, Joel Kerr, Conor Moore, Michael Kelly. Next U8 blitz is on Sat. 13th Sept. and next U10 blitz is on Sat. 30th Aug. Details at training.

SYMPATHY
Deepest sympathy is expressed to Bridget McVeigh (Tirnaskea), Kate Kolbohm (Rock), Rose McGurk (Gortreagh), Sarah Hackett (Rockdale Close) and Molly McGeary (Dungannon) on the recent death of their brother, Jim Sloan in England. Jim was a former player with Rock St. Patricks during the 1940's along with his brother Paddy who lives in England. Sympathy is also expressed to Annie Cunningham (Munderadoe) on the recent death of her brother in England and also to the Cunningham family circle on the death of Sarah Cunningham (Thornhill Road), grandmother of senior player James. May they Rest in Peace.

FORBIDDEN FOREST TRAIL

We are calling upon all of the Rock and Slatequarry people to take part in our forest event at Halloween. We will require volunteers to act and perform in some drama themed parts of The Forbidden Forest Trail. Please contact 07747336493 to get involved.
