SENIORS
Sunday saw the end of our season with the seniors playing Loughmacrory in our relegation playoff. In wet conditions we found ourselves going in at half time infront 2-06 to 2-03. In an end to end game Loughmacrory managed to get a third goal in the second half and looked like they would go on and win. But after having Cathal McWilliams sent off for a second yellow card we fought back. Finishing the game strongly we drew level and headed for extra time. Back to full strength of 15 players we got the first 2 points of extra time. Loughmacrory were to score 4 unanswered points and you knew this game was going right to the wire. Just before half time we were dealt a severe blow when Loughmacrory were awarded a penalty which they converted to leave 5 points in it and Peter Ward received a straight red card. After fighting so hard throughout the game this was a call to far and left a huge battle to overcome in the final 10 minutes. To our credit we got 3 more points but just fell short. Loughmacrory 4-10 Rock. 2-14
