ROCK v CLAN NA nGAEL
On Sunday past we held our first league game of the year at home to Clan Na nGael , the 1st half of the game was a close encounter that saw the rock go head early on as Ryan Crilly slotted home a superb bottom right hand goal past the Clan Na nGael goal keeper, but for the next 15 mins of the game the away side battled back well to find themselves 1 point up at half time. The start of the 2nd half remained a 50/50 battle between the sides but some brilliant free kicks and a fisted goal from full forward Aidan McGarrity with Nial Mullan leading the defense from full back saw the rock finish out the game 6 point winners with a score line of 2-12 to 1-09. All in all a good start to our centenary year celebrations, good luck to the panel and management for the rest of the season.
